After 10 years in business, we are closing down Lidia May this year. It’s been a thrilling journey to build an ethical luxury brand from Bangladesh, especially as we got to connect with so many of you around the world who love fashion and care about sustainability. Your purchase and advocacy encouraged us every step of the way.
We’ve created this short film to share about why we began this journey and why we are ending it now. By casting a small stone into the vast lake of the fashion industry, we believe that all good actions create ripple effects reaching far and wide. It’s bittersweet to end Lidia May as a brand, we are hopeful that the spirit of Lidia May will live on - in the customers who saw the true value of ethical fashion and in the makers who learned the market value of creativity and quality. And of course, our impact will live on in the families who will continue to benefit from the Lidia Hope Centre Trust. We’ve helped build up a strong non-profit that can grow and develop independently.
You should be proud of how much we achieved together on the global stage and in Bangladesh. Lidia May was always as much your crazy, beautiful dream as it was ours. We hope you will always carry your Lidia May bags with pride!
